A Primitive Cloth Doll

Little Annie stands nine inches tall and is modeled after a wonderful 1810 doll from Philadelphia.

I’ve aged her delicately, and her dress and bonnet are of genuine early, old blue fabrics. Her blue and white homespun apron is reproduction fabric that also has been aged. Annie is, naturally, carrying a spring of the herb Sweet Annie. She sits very prettily, but does come with her own little handmade stand that I’ve painted in the primitive color known as attic brown.
