A Witch in Her Own Environ

This little witch doll is a papier-maché-head, cloth-bodied doll who is only ten inches tall. Standing in her handmade, hand-painted “environ”, Bella the third is joined by her bevy of paper pumpkins and of course her black cat standing up high.

The environ is twenty inches tall including the bow and the feet. It can sit on a tabletop or hang on the wall. Supporting the stiffened bow is a beautiful antique stopper that has lost its bottle.

 I've painted the interior of the box in the style that has become famous by a wonderful artist, Betty Caithness, who resides in Virginia.
