Pre-Greiner Doll's Doll, circa 1840

A maché-head doll with cloth body, Maggie is 15 inches long. She is dressed in all vintage fabrics. Her pantalets are made of a soft brown and white dotted Swiss, probably from the early twentieth century. Her petticoat is from very old, delicate dark blue and white fabric, which is certainly from the nineteenth century. And her dress is from a soft, thin, brown linen, also probably the early twentieth century.

Maggie's shoe boots are painted-on over her painted-on robin’s egg blue stockings. She carries a little, stuffed heart.
